After Care Instructions

Day of Care

After receiving the tattoo, leave the barrier wrap on for 3 days. The barrier wrap is waterproof so you can shower with it on. After 3 days, soak the wrap in water until easily removed without resistance from skin and or blood build-up. Lather hands with hypoallergenic no-perfumed soap (IVORY, DOVE). Wash entire tattoo removing all blood and excess ink. Pat dry with a clean towel apply small amount of Hustle Butter to tattoo.

Daily Care

Keep ointment on for 2-3 weeks or until tattoo is fully healed. Keep the tattoo moist constantly. DO NOT let it dry out. This is a 24 hour 7 days a week task. If you find yourself in a dirty or dusty environment apply the ointment and cover the tattoo with barrier wrap provided by your artist. Let the tattoo breathe as often as possible however to prevent any pores from being clogged. Washing frequently while in this environment is highly recommended.

Golden Rules

1. NEVER touch a healing tattoo with anything other than clean freshly washed hands.

2. STAY out of hot tubs, whirlpools, swimming pools and lakes until tattoo is fully healed.

3. NEVER use any lotions, or healing ointments other than those indicated by your Artist.

4. NEVER use cosmetics, sunscreens, hair products or perfumes around a healing tattoo.

5. STAY out of tanning beds and excessive sunlight until tattoo is fully healed.

6. USE fresh bed sheets, linens and clothing to avoid unnecessary contamination.

7. IF for any reason irritation occurs from recommended products consult your Artist whom worked on you or a Physician IMMEDIATELY.

8. Your tattoo will become flakey, peel, and possibly scab. Do not pick at the tattoo while it is in this stage. Let everything fall off naturally. It will also become itchy as it heals, do not itch the tattoo while it is in this stage, a light slap or rubbing of ointment can ease the itchiness.

9. If you want your tattoo to last, stay as black or colorful as the day you got it putting sunscreen on your tattoo every time you are in the sun for the rest of your life is highly recommended. The UV rays from the sun fade the tattoo pigment.
